The Mission Statement of the Westmoreland Historical Society.
 
The purpose of this Society shall be to preserve and maintain the Park Hill Meeting House and the Corner School House as significant historic landmarks and to promote the use of these buildings for community activities and as museums. The Society seeks to preserve the history of Westmoreland through the acquisition of books, papers, maps, and artifacts and the establishment of a genealogy and history library, as well as to preserve Westmoreland's historic features through historic designation and grants.

The Corner School House

The Corner School House is located at the corner of River Road and Poocham Road in Westmoreland. The School was built in 1789 at the cost of $197.15. It was originally located on Reynolds Road and has been moved at least twice. In 1820, the School had 110 scholars.

 

 
Park Hill Meeting House

The Park Hill Meeting House is located on Route 63 in Westmoreland. This building was built in 1764, moved in 1779, and again in 1826 to its present location. It was remodeled into it's present form in 1853.

 

 

 
Organizational History
On July 25, 2010, the Westmoreland Historical Society and the Park Hill Meeting House Society merged to become the Westmoreland Park Hill Meeting House and Historical Society.
